Our rough diamonds

We selected a rough grower whose ethical commitments and credentials matched our own to ensure absolute customer assurance at every stage of the pipeline

PRODUCTION REALITY: Not all lab-grown diamonds are eco-friendly. They imitate the natural diamond formation process, demanding significant electricity, largely from the national grid. China and India produce over 60% of lab-grown diamonds, utilizing coal for 63% and 74% of their grid electricity, respectively. (Natural Diamond Council 2023) Additionally, pipeline transparency and labour conditions in those countries can be cause for concern.

In 2020 we expanded our operations into the emerging LGD space, establishing our state-of-the-art factory that combines traditional cutting expertise with bespoke manufacturing techniques that the new rough material demands.

BPP, RJC & ISO 14064-1

Our manufacturing facilities have an exceptional track record of staff welfare and social accountability, this includes industry leading staff support facilities including healthcare, teaching as well as social and recreational facilities. We adhere to both the De Beers BPP standards and are group members of the RJC.

We have taken a progressive stance on industry ethics since our launch and in 2021 we became ISO 14064-1 certified and offset all our direct emissions to achieve a carbon neutral footprint. We believe in sustainable production practices and investing in sustainability. Lab-grown diamonds are an important first step on the road to lowering our environmental impact of our industry and we are committed to doing more. The next stage in our GHG journey is the reduction of our indirect emissions in line with the Paris Agreement.
